Yusuf Youth Initiative's Education department will work alongside other educational institutions to cater for the needs of the ethnic minorities in Scotland. The plan is to set up a schools network to support the needs of the minority groups. The schools network will also form a parental facet to encourage parents to take a proactive approach in supporting for their child's educational needs.
The department will also work to foster relations with other community groups and centres to cater for the needs of ethnic groups in all sectors of life (hospitals, prisons etc.) throughout Scotland. The Education Department is currently working closely with a group of volunteers to publish literature for hospitals and schools in providing both ethnic groups of the mainstream opportunities and services available to them and also, to the institutions of the needs of the ethnic minorities.
