At YYI Community Hub we are constantly revisiting our strategy moving forward. We are consulting with staff, members and service users about the way they would like to move forward.

Feel free to post your ideas or DM us.

Our amazing Medjoul dates have just arrived.
As you can see these are supplied by Holy Land Dates which are sourced form the same Palestinian farmers.

The bonus is that 50% of their net profits goes towards support for vulnerable children 🙂
And the smaller boxes are 900g instead of 800g so you'll be getting more for the same price 😃 ( £12 for the box)

We have pre-sold nearly half of the 5kg boxes (£50 for 5kg) so please message us for orders ASAP because once they're gone we will not be ordering anymore!

Zaytoun Medjoul dates are freshly harvested from sun-drenched Palestinian farms around the ancient city of Jericho, an occupied area where vast tracts of land have been illegally confiscated by the Israeli government.

When you choose Zaytoun Medjoul dates, you are helping Palestinian families to make a sustainable living and to grow trade opportunities so they can retain their own land in the Jordan Valley, while facing the daily struggles of living under military occupation and the threat of expanding Israeli settlements.

*We have our annual stock coming in March in time for Ramadan.* They always go fast so please get your orders in to myself or PM the YYI FB page before there's none left.

As many of you know we put in a Community Asset Transfer bid for Mitchell street. Our bid was refused by the City Council asset transfer team and some City Councillors.

The main grounds was that this building is expected to cost a lot to bring up to date (assumed to be in the region of £500,000). Since YYI doesn’t have that money in hand or confirmed, it could have a detrimental impact on the organisation.

We have 3 weeks to appeal!
In 9 weeks we have to vacate our offices once again! This affects our staff and the running of the Taught By Muhammad Foodbank. Not to mention it impact on the organisation as a whole.

All ears for any options out there
